DUBAI: The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) said in-store employees of malls and other commercial establishments are required to be tested for COVID-19, as the emirate plans gradual ease of lockdown measures.
ADDED has earlier announced it will allow malls and shops in three regions – Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra – to reopen under certain conditions to prevent a second wave of infections.
Shops need to obtain certification of negative results for their employees for ADDED to allow them to reopen, state-run WAM has reported.
Shoppers should pass only through main entrances with thermal scanning cameras, the department said in a circular, adding people with high body temperature will not be allowed to enter.
